Why Choose Us?

A Defense Strategy Built Around You.

We Tell You the Truth. A criminal case is stressful enough without wondering whether your lawyer is giving you a realistic assessment. We tell our clients what we see – the good, the bad, and the uncertain – so that they can make informed decisions with their lives.

We Communicate. You should understand what is happening in your case and why. Our job includes making an unfamiliar process understandable and keeping you informed as the case develops.

We Investigate Before We Assume. Police reports are not facts simply because an officer typed them. Witnesses can be wrong. Investigations can be incomplete. Evidence can be misleading. Searches can be unlawful. Experts and Officers can lie. We test the Government’s case rather than accepting its accusations.

We Are Willing to Go to Trial. Not every case should be tried. But every criminal defense lawyer should be capable of trying one. If it comes to it, we are always prepared for a fight.

Legal Processes

Probation Violation:

A violation of probation occurs when an individual, under a probationary sentence, willfully and substantially fails to adhere to the specified terms and conditions mandated by the overseeing judge.

Seal or Expunge Your Criminal Records

In Florida, expungement and sealing are legal processes designed to limit public access to criminal records. Expungement erases the record as if the arrest or charge never happened, while sealing restricts public access without completely erasing the record. Expungement is for cases with dropped charges, and sealing is for those who completed certain programs or received withhold of adjudication. Both processes provide individuals with the opportunity for a fresh start, reducing the impact of a criminal record on employment and other opportunities.

HIGHLIGHTED CASES

Navigating Past Pleas in a Complex Legal Scenario

Hung jury in a case where the client had previously pled guilty in federal court to the exact same gun and drug charges. The state introduced the federal plea agreement, signed by the client, along with the federal transcript of his admission of guilt and a signed admission by the client.

Successful Acquittal Against All Odds

Not Guilty verdict in an attempted murder case, where the client’s landlord accused him of shooting when he pulled into the driveway of his property. The client was arrested on the same day at the scene. The jury took only 25 minutes to deliberate before acquitting him.
