Successful Defense
A Triumph in a Complex Drug Case
Not Guilty verdict on a case including multiple charges of sale of drugs within one thousand feet of a school. The client was arrested on body camera video and the narcotics were pulled off his person on camera which was introduced by the State at trial.
Successful Acquittal
Against All Odds
Not Guilty verdict in an attempted murder case, where the client's landlord accused him of shooting when he pulled into the driveway of his property. The client was arrested on the same day at the scene. The jury took only 25 minutes to deliberate before acquitting him.
Navigating Past Pleas
in a Complex Legal Scenario
Hung jury in a case where the client had previously pled guilty in federal court to the exact same gun and drug charges. The state introduced the federal plea agreement, signed by the client, along with the federal transcript of his admission of guilt and a signed admission by the client.
Not Guilty Verdict
in Decades-Old Rape Case Through DNA Defense
A 'Not Guilty' verdict was reached in a case where the client was arrested for a rape that occurred 38 years prior, based on DNA testing. During the trial, I demonstrated that the DNA evidence, rather than incriminating him, actually exonerated him. The jury concurred, and notably, the case was tried without the defense ever having requested a continuance.
Not Guilty Verdict
in High-Stakes Arson Case
Not Guilty verdict in an eleven-count case, where the first seven charges carried a minimum sentence of life in prison. The client was accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's house, pouring gasoline, and then lighting it on fire in an attempt to kill everyone inside. Throughout the trial, I cross-examined multiple arson 'experts' and persuaded them to concede that the evidence was consistent with our defense. The jury deliberated for only 50 minutes before acquitting him on all charges.
